Our Story

On the side of Ankerdine Hill as you climb up from the River Teme up through the lovely village of Martley and sitting on the border between Worcestershire and Herefordshire lies the tiny hamlet of Berrow Green.

A roomy country inn with 17th Century origins, The Rodney has been welcoming locals, guests and visitors for centuries.

Having closed in around 2014, the Rodney lay empty and unloved for several years until it was bought and renovated by local couple Kate & Andrew, owners of The Baiting House Collection.

By 2018 the Rodney was re-opened to great local acclaim. In 2020 we added six new bedrooms in the grounds of the inn, to accommodate the demand from travellers who have discovered its stunning setting.
